Whisked Kitchen is a recipe site. You can read recipes without an account. There are no ads or advertising tracking cookies.
Community accounts and contributions
When community features are enabled, signing in lets you rate recipes, post comments and reviews, and vote Helpful. We store your sign-in identity, email address, public display name, contributions and preferences. Your display name and contributions are public. Your email address is private. Secure session cookies keep you signed in. Drafts stay in your browser so signing in or a failed request does not discard them.
Google and Microsoft sign-in are handled by those providers. Email sign-in links and optional reply notifications are delivered through Cloudflare Email Service. Community data is also hosted by Cloudflare. We record moderation actions and reasons, and may hide content or suspend participation. Reports are reviewed and do not automatically hide a contribution.
You can edit or delete your contributions. Deleted text is removed; a placeholder may remain to preserve replies. If you delete your account, we erase its sign-in and profile details and stop reply emails. Your existing text, ratings and votes remain attributed to “Deleted account”. A recipe taken offline has its community hidden; its history is retained unless the household explicitly purges it.
Reply emails
Reply emails are optional and cover new replies in threads you choose to follow. Each email lets you stop that thread or all reply emails. Signing in, commenting, or requesting reply emails does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
What we count
We count visits so we know which recipes people cook: which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from (the referring site or a tagged Instagram link), their country and device type, and a few button taps such as Save, Share and Print. Counting is done by Umami, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps anonymous page-view totals. Neither is used for advertising.
What stays on your device
Recipes you save and the tags you tap most are kept in your browser's local storage, on this device only. We never see them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address goes to our newsletter provider, who sends the emails and handles confirmation and unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we don't share the list. When you are signed in, we can prefill the address, which you can change. We record your explicit Subscribe choice; the provider handles confirmation. Deleting your community account does not cancel or restart a separate newsletter subscription.
